Taylor Swift has commented on what she has called the "best week" of her life.

The country pop singer recently confirmed plans to release her new album 'Red' on October 22.

At the same time, Swift unveiled her new single 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together', which managed to shoot straight to the top of the Billboard Hot 100. Tweeting at the time, Swift said:

"#1 on Billboard's Hot 100!!?! This has been the most amazing week. I can't believe how incredible you guys are. (Jumping up and down)."

The singer today (August 24) updated her followers again with her thoughts, revealing her appreciation for her fans. She said:
