The View reveal they have written songs for One Direction

Indie rockers The View have revealed that they have penned a couple of tracks for One Direction.

Although the Scottish quartet are a little bit removed from the squeaky clean image of the pop world, they told the Daily Record that they have submitted a few tracks to the band.

Singer Kyle Falconer said that he has contributed a couple of songs to One Direction that were "too wimpy" for his own band. He said:

"I'm writing and recording all these tunes. The ones I put in for One Direction were the ones that people said were too wimpy for The View. There's a few of them – we write songs non-stop."

Falconer meanwhile also revealed a desire to collaborate with female popstars Stooshe. He said:

"I like their song and it would be good to do stuff with them. It would be good to do a lot of things with them."
