Tori Amos musical is put on hold

Tori Amos' musical that was due to open at London's National Theatre has been put on 'postponed indefinitely'.

The emotive singer wrote the musical based on the 1864 fairy tale, 'The Light Princess', by George McDonald.

It was due to open in April 2012 at London Southbank's Lyttelton but, according to the Guardian, that it has been postponed due to "fears it would not be ready in time".

However, a spokesperson for the National Theatre has said:

"Development is continuing on The Light Princess and we'll announce a new date for the production in due course".
