ECIPS Music Festival Media Launched Recap with CORE Caribbean Media Outlets in Valley Stream, NY

The organizers of ECIPS Music Festival held their Media Launch on Thursday, August 3rd, at the brand new Jewels Caribbean Restaurant in Valley Stream, NY. Irie Jam Radio kicked off the evening with a live broadcast on 93.5 FM from 7 PM - 9 PM, hosted by DJ  Killa Boo and RJ on location while remotely connecting with DubbMaster Chris inside the Irie Jams studio. They spoke with event producers as well as some of the artists set to perform on Sunday, August, 20th at Roy Wilkins Park in Queens, NY at the highly anticipated ECIPS Music Festival. Media and tastemakers in attendance enjoyed a full course meal, catered and sponsored by House Sudajoy which included an authentic spread of Caribbean Dishes and pastries with an unlimited supply of beverages from sponsors ArieSun Alkaline Water and Island Energy Drink.

Radio Personality and Celebrity Publicist, Sharon Gordon, facilitated the press conference portion of the evening and skillfully managed the Q&A aspect of the conversations. Producers, Suzan Peart, Michael Bailey and sponsor, Everod Vernon of Arise Hospitality, focused on the expectations of ECIPS Music Festival and explained the dynamics of staging such a diverse festival in Queens, New York.

“I chose to support this festival because of its multicultural and multi-genre appeal. As soon as I was approached to be involved I jumped at it instantly,” said Everod Vernon. Michael Bailey peaked the media’s interest when he spoke about the transformation that will take place at Roy Wilkins Park. The media learned that Dorcia Grant, owner of Jewels Caribbean Cafe, is also the person in charge of creating that transformation process via her ‘out of this world’ ideas and decorations. Suzan Peart, told those gathered that “this event is my heart,” she also asked for the media’s support and they vowed to carry the ECIPS Music Festival as their very own event.

Performing artists Papa Michigan, Mega Banton, Teflon, Kiprich, Tinga Stewart, Madadan, and Genjah, all were on the panel and spoke with regard to their participation in the ECIPS Music Festival. They expressed a unique appreciation to be the first set of acts to launch the event and knew the changes it would bring to the culture. Kiprich, the first artist to sign on to perform at ECIPS said, “Energy! Shellings! Madd! That’s the only way I can describe it,” when asked what three words would best describe his upcoming performance. The night ended with interviews, countless photo-ops, dancing, and networking leaving everyone anticipating August 20th. Special thanks to all the Media Houses and tastemakers that were in attendance.
