As he gears up to release his forthcoming E.P Toby, British rapper/producer Cynikal debuts a brand new track titled “Take Off” to warm listeners up to the evolution of his sound, and the release of the Toby EP in July.

Produced by Cynikal himself, with live guitar provided for by Matt Money (The Stow, Street Orchestra) and exquisite string arrangements courtesy of Rachel Wood (Nigel KennedyZakopower), “Take Off” is a sparse, atmospheric and gritty Hip-Hop experience that will pull and push you through the song with Cynikal delivering a more intimate artistic performance than usual with lyrics that show his evolution from a rapper into a well-rounded artist, ready to “take off”…

This new release from Cynikal is coming off the back of a very memorable 2012, which saw the East London rapper/producer not only receiving support from the likes of BBC Radio 1BBC 1Xtra and the BBC Asian Network for his last single “Won’t Let You Down” - the music video for which was the number one most requested song on Channel AKAwhile also garnering TV play on the likes of BETKissFlava TV and Brit Asia - but also saw Cynikal perform at the London 2012 Olympics and sign to world-renowned booking agency, Industry Music Group who also represent the likes of ChipJLSJames Arthur and One Direction.

Not only that, Cynikal has continued to grow from strength to strength in 2013, with BBC Radio inviting the fast-rising artist to perform a special Live Lounge Session earlier in March, and PRS for Music also selecting him to take part in the current season of their acoustic sessions. As the first piece of new music we’ve heard from Cynikal in 2013, “Take Off” shows the first signs of a brilliantly progressed sound for the Hip-Hop artist/producer - a sound that we cannot wait to experience on his forthcoming E.P titled Toby.
