“You Are My Kind Of Crazy” is the foundation on which The Band Wanted was built. It is also their first award winning song won with the World Songwriting Awards in 2020. Beginning their journey together as a band in Colorado in 2016. Joshua and Candy Carpenter are the hearts behind The Band Wanted, performing mostly country music. After a cancer diagnosis and a work related injury, they decided life was too short to build dreams for other people. They sold their home and belongings and closed their successful electrical contracting business and jumped into building their dreams with both feet; purchasing and renovating a tour bus and taking the show on the road. Influenced by Alison Kraus, Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson, The Dead South, CCR, and Journey, they bring a wide variety of music to every show; with “Rodeo Songs” that their dedicated Outlaws wait for. The vision for the band continues to grow with each show and through each audience member. Their dedicated and growing fanbase catapulted them into Atlanta, Georgia - winning yet another award with the International Singer Songwriters Association for Vocal Duo Of The Year in 2023. Throughout their career they have received several finalist and honorable mentions for their music including their songs “8 Seconds” and “Still Alive”. Joshua and Candy are loved for their harmonies both on and off the stage. Telling stories though music!
