Aussie pop-punk heartthrobs 5 Seconds Of Summer recently released their new single 'She's Kinda Hot', and the track has since been heavily likened to My Chemical Romance's 'Teenagers'. 

The superstars have now addressed the similarities between the two tracks and member Michael Clifford, who plays guitar in the band, told Billboard that there is something that ties the songs together:

"That’s just because of the 12-bar blues. I think it might be in the same key as well. People were like, ‘You guys should sound more like My Chemical Romance.’ Then we do sound like My Chemical Romance and people are like, ‘Why the fuck do you sound like My Chemical Romance?’ Ugh!”

As previously reported, drummer Ashton Irwin also opened up to Billboard about deciding to call their forthcoming new album 'Sounds Good Feels Good' and said: "Luke [Hemmings] said it in the studio after we recorded it. He said, ‘Sounds good! Feels good!’ and we were like, ‘There it is!'"
