Ariana Grande has been confirmed as the latest performer for the American Music Awards.

The singer will run through her new single 'Focus' at the event at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on November 22.

Coldplay, Gwen Stefani and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis have also been added to the bill.

They join a line-up that already features acts such as One Direction, 5 Seconds of Summer and Demi Lovato.

Selena Gomez, Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood, Nick Jonas and Pentatonix will also perform.

Host Jennifer Lopez is also due to take to the stage to play live.

The awards meanwhile recently confirmed the nominees for the coveted Artist of the Year prize.

Luke Bryan, Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, One Direction and Taylor Swift will battle it out.
