Singer-songwriter James Arthur has spent this evening chatting with his fans about a variety of topics, ranging from his next album to 'X Factor' regrets. 

During a new Q&A with his followers on Twitter, the star teased that they'll be getting an update on his next album soon: "News about the next album release to come very soon, still very much in the writing process for a couple more months. Potentially (released this year)... If not very very early 2016 but news to come x."

He also opened up about his favourite bands, adding: "My favourite bands ever are TBS, brand new, nirvana, oasis, stereophonics, new radicals the strokes the list goes."

When asked if he regrets anything about his time on 'The X Factor', Arthur said: "No regrets but I wouldn't have had my hair cut so short in the final or throughout the show even... its not my look." The advice he would give his younger self is, "you need to like yourself more, stop beating yourself up".
