Harry Styles nominated for Villain of the Year NME Award

One Direction star Harry Styles has been nominated for the Villain of the Year honour at this year's NME Awards.

The music magazine's awards bash is due to take place on February 26 in London and the 'Kiss You' star is up for the dubious prize.

The category - which shouldn't really be taken at face value - also sees Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke nominated.

Politicians David Cameron and Vladimir Putin, as well as Russell Brand, are also up for the prize.

One Direction meanwhile are nominated for the Worst Band award alongside the likes of The Wanted and 30 Seconds To Mars.

Styles won the Villain prize last year whilst his group also won the Worst Band honour in 2013 too.

Arctic Monkeys and Haim meanwhile are the frontrunners in the awards' other nominations.
