Niall Horan freaked out by Twitter users pretending to be his parents

One Direction heartthrob Niall Horan has asked Twitter users to stop impersonating his family members on the site because it's very strange and it upsets him.

Writing on his official Twitter page this evening (January 15), Horan told his followers that it's making him feel very uncomfortable: "My brother and Denise are the only ones with twitter so any of you pretending to be my parents! Stop! It's actually really freaky!"

He then sent a public message to one of the impersonators and asked them to remove the account:

"@bobbyhoran67 can u stop pretending to be my dad! My dad can barely text never mind use twitter, it's creepy and strange!"

Earlier in January, Horan used social media to inform One Direction's followers that there is no tension in the band and retweeted a post originally uploaded by Liam Payne: "Lots of articles saying we are clashing...no ones clashing we are just having a bit of Family time after hitting the road for 3 years."
