One Direction fans were left confused and angry after a loving tweet sent by Louis Tomlinson to Harry Styles in 2011 was deleted.

The two singers showed their bond for each other on the social networking website a few years ago, with Tomlinson saying:

"Always in my heart @Harry_Styles. Yours sincerely, Louis."

However, the tweet was deleted overnight and this prompted One Direction fans to start the trending hashtag '#HarryYouAreStillInLouisHeart'.

Some believe the band's management may have removed the tweet, but no official reason has yet been issued.

The two singers are often subject of speculation that they are or may have been in a gay romance, but the stars have dismissed that idea.
