One Direction have revealed that a Liam Payne remix will be included on their next single.

The boyband confirmed today (April 11) that they will be releasing 'You & I' as their new single.

They have since followed that up with news that singer Payne has remixed the song for the single release.

It is dubbed the 'Big Payno Remix' and the band previewed the tune on Soundcloud.

In addition, One Direction's team have also launched a competition for fans to create their own remixes.

The vocal stems from the single have been uploaded online and budding producers can upload their own remixes to a Soundcloud group.

Payne himself will then select the best efforts and include them in a playlist.

'You & I' meanwhile will be available for pre-order from Monday (April 14) before being released on May 25.
