One Direction are still reigning supreme over this year's MTV Hottest poll.

The music broadcaster are currently asking fans to vote for who they think is the top act of the summer.

'Live While We're Young' lads One Direction have been leading the way since the list's inception and they are still No.1.

At the time of writing, the group have over 41 million tweets to their name.

In second place is Justin Bieber, who has accrued over 35 million votes, whilst Lady Gaga is third with nearly 14 million.

Completing the top five are 5 Seconds of Summer (13.6 million) and Lana Del Rey (11.3 million).
