Boyband One Direction have teased that they'll be making an announcement later today (August 5) and have now shared a couple of visual clues about it. 

Earlier this morning, the lads shared an update via their collective Twitter page and explained that they will be dropping clues pertaining to the news in the lead up to the reveal: "Listen up! We're revealing clues about today's announcement... here's the first."

The picture that accompanied the text, which can be seen above left, shows member Zayn Malik in what looks like a photoshoot with the rest of the band cropped out. The next clue, pictured below, is perhaps even more obscure. 

The 'What Makes You Beautiful' superstars are currently on their North American tour and will perform live in East Rutherford, New Jersey later this evening at the MetLife Stadium.
