Liam Payne on girlfriend Sophia Smith: 'There's a song on our new album that's about her and our love'

One Direction are gearing up to release their new album 'FOUR', which is due for release on November 17, and heartthrob Liam Payne confessed that his romance with Sophia Smith inspired one of tracks.

Payne told Australian site News.com that there's one song on the record called 'Illusion', which is based on his relationship with girlfriend Smith and is very personal:

"Writing is all down to personal experience, shall I say. Louis will be thinking of him and Eleanor, I will be thinking of Soph. There’s a song on the album which is completely about Soph, it’s called 'Illusion' and funnily enough, I didn’t write it."

“I was having a chat with Julian (Bunetta), we were both talking about our girlfriends and I left him at it and he wrote all the words based on mine and Soph’s relationship. It’s all based on things about us.”

The 'Story Of My Life' superstar went onto add that songwriting now is very enjoyable as they have a solid team to work with and are older so can appreciate the process more with the new experiences they've had: "The beautiful thing about our songwriting now is we get to sit around in a room with a group of friends. And have lots of beers. Lots of beers."
