Harry Styles: 'Directioners have excitable mothers who push their kids out the way to meet us'

UK based boyband One Direction have millions of young fans all over the globe, but the boys have revealed that more often than not they will find that their followers' mothers are just as excited to meet them.

Singer Harry Styles explained that he's often surprised by the mothers' reactions to meeting his band and has found himself in a few unusual situations over the years:

"Sometimes [the mums] almost like push [their kids] out the way. There's been a couple where the mum's have been like, 'Oh, my daughter loves you.' And you look at the daughter and she's like [pulls face]. Not that bothered."

Heartthrob Liam Payne went onto add that occasionally, mothers will use their daughters as a reason to meet them: "Sometimes the kid doesn't even want to be there, the mum's just brought the kid as a scapegoat."

One Direction, meanwhile, will perform on 'Saturday Night Live' for the show's holiday episode next month on December 20 and Hollywood superstar Amy Adams is set to be the host.
