One Direction heartthrob Niall Horan has revealed he is "buzzin" for tonight's NRJ Music Awards in France.

The British five piece - also comprising Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne - are up for ‘Best International Group’ at the annual awards ceremony.

Horan took to Twitter to tease fans ahead of the band's hotly-anticipated appearance.

He wrote: "Bonjour from Cannes ! we here for the @NRJhitmusiconly awards ! Gona be a fun night. We can hear you outside hotel ! Sing " we love marco". Louder.

He cheekily added: "Sing " don't wear the tie. Can't wait for tonight! NRJ awards! Buzzin!"

One Direction are up against Coldplay, Carly Rae Jepsen & Owl City, and Maroon 5 for the 'International Group/Duo of the Year' award.

Taylor Swift is also attending the French awards ceremony after  returning from the 2013 40 Principales Awards in Madrid, Spain, where she received the 'International Artist Award.'

Swift took to Twitter yesterday to post a picture of the sunset in Southern France, with the accompanying caption: "This Cannes sunset situation... (sic)."
