One Direction's Liam Payne has rubbished rumours he is considering quitting the band.

It was reported today that the singer is on the verge of leaving the chart-topping group to spend more time with his girlfriend Danielle Peazer.

An insider told the Daily Star Sunday: "He suffers from terrible homesickness and the other lads are always having to boost him up and be there for him. He says the long American promotional tours ‘kill him’ and that he feels like he’s cracking up when he’s on the road for so long.

The story also went on to report: "Liam feels he doesn't get the same status and respect as the big stars like Harry [Styles] and Niall [Horan] and sometimes even questions why he's in the band at all. The rest of the lads are freaking out that one day he'll have had enough and just walk out. That would throw the whole band into chaos."

However, Payne took to Twitter today to slam the untrue rumours, posting: "thought I'd let you know this latest story is bulls**t I love you guys so much I love this band they're my best mates I ain't goin now werrr (sic)."

One Direction - also comprising Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles - are currently on their 'Take Me Home Tour' in Europe.
