One Direction on expensive phone bills: 'Simon Cowell won't pay for them!'

UK based boyband One Direction have joked that 'X Factor' mentor and manager Simon Cowell should really fork out for their extortionate mobile phone bills that they rack up when they travel the world.

The lads are currently in Australia on their 'Take Home Tour' and heartthrob Louis Tomlinson told Britain's The Sun newspaper that they're always shocked to see how much money they spend on their phones while abroad, and Cowell should be the one footing the bill because he's responsible for their schedules:

"Our data charges are quite ridiculous really. In no time the bills become massive as my mates will keep ringing me and chatting, no matter where I am in the world, and they don't know or maybe care that it's actually me paying the bill."

"So far Simon hasn't shown any interest in paying, it's time he started to dig deep!"

They will perform at the Rod Laver Arena in the country tomorrow night (October 17) and member Niall Horan took to his official Twitter page earlier today to tell his fans how much he enjoys being down under: "Ah Melbourne dearest! I love you soo much! Thanks for another great night in Melbs! I call it that coz I live here ;)"
