One Direction shared a flight with a surprise guest today (November 19) as they left the UK to return to America.

Brit star Lily Allen uploaded a photo of herself boarding a plane at London's Heathrow Airport just metres in front of the 'Kiss You' lads.

Niall Horan struck a pose for the camera as the passengers readied themselves to step on the plane.

Allen tweeted: "Not even joking 1direction are on my flight. First class too the little sh*ts (ONLY JOKING)."

The band are on their way to the US to continue their promotion of forthcoming new album 'Midnight Memories'.

Among their schedule is a live slot at the American Music Awards on November 24.

The album is due to come out on Monday (November 25), but it has already leaked online - much to the annoyance of the band themselves.
