Union J: 'We'd love to join One Direction - just for a quick holiday!'

'Tonight (We Live Forever)' group Union J have revealed that their ultimate career goal is to crack America because it's such a huge market

During a new interview with Huffington Post, JJ (real name Jamie Paul Hamblett) explained that they have lofty ambitions and hope to enjoy success stateside in the future:

"I think to crack America, I think that’s everyone’s dream in the music industry, every artist’s dream is to crack America. If you look at how many states there are in America... if you can crack that then it’s amazing. Working on this album we went over to America, over to LA and we fell in love with the place, so hopefully one day we can go over there and crack it, and it would be incredible.”

Josh Cuthbert then joked that he would love to tag along with boyband One Direction for all of the international travel and amazing experiences: “I would give anything to join One Direction - just for a quick holiday!”

JJ also recently told the Daily Record that he hopes Union J has a lasting career: "We never wanted to be one-hit wonders. We want longevity. We want to be like Take That or Westlife and be around for years, that’s what we hope to do."
