Adam Lambert 'trying something different' on new album: 'We need surprise in this post-Beyoncé world'

'Trespassing' sensation Adam Lambert has been talking about his upcoming new record recently and confessed that he's trying to do things differently this time around because it's important to 'surprise' and excite your fans as an artist.

Speaking to KIIS-FM, the star explained that he wants to keep his followers on their toes and give them music they might not be expecting him to release:

“I’m not gonna say too much, because I like to try to keep things under wraps. I’m actually not too good at that, but I’m trying something new. The element of surprise in this post-Beyoncé world [...] Yeah, I’m working on this album, I’m really excited about it."

When asked if there might be something as diverse as rapping on his forthcoming new offering, Lambert joked that if there is it definitely won't be something he does himself: “I don’t know! I actually don’t know yet. There definitely could be a little hint here and there. I will certainly not be rapping. You won’t hear me rapping..."
