Adam Lambert reveals that his voice is insured for '$48 million'

Adam Lambert has revealed that his voice is insured.

The National state that the singer has a policy worth $48 million (£33 million) on his vocal cords.

The US star said: "That’s my bread and butter man, I got to insure this.

"J Lo insured her booty, right? Listen - this is what I’m making my money on."

The insurance policy was reportedly carried out by the singer's management in 2012.

Lambert meanwhile spoke out in the same interview in praise of the late David Bowie, who died from cancer in January.

He said: "He was so daring. Bowie was very much ahead of his time in terms of challenging people’s idea of: this is masculine, this is feminine, what happens when it’s blurred together?”

The singer has been covering Bowie's 'Let's Dance' on tour recently.
