Adam Lambert would be up for recording with Queen

Adam Lambert says he would be up for recording with Queen.

The band are currently performing with the singer, but no studio has yet been forthcoming.

Speaking to Digital Spy, Lambert said he would be game for recording with Brian May and co.

However, he is aware of how Queen's name is strongly associated with late singer Freddie Mercury.

The 'Original High' man said: "I'm certainly open to anything. If something sounds cool and it's the right thing to do at the right time, then I'm game.

"I haven't heard anything like that come up. But also, maybe it's an issue of, is that Queen without Freddie?

"To me, Queen is...that's why we're billed as Queen plus Adam Lambert. I'm their guest who's filling in by singing these songs and having a great time doing it. But it's not necessarily Queen."

Lambert added: "They might ask me. I might be on the shortlist."

The singer was speaking ahead of the band's headline slot at the Isle of Wight festival this weekend.
