Amy Winehouse to showcase new material

Amy is live in London for her first UK show of 2009. The date is May 31st when she'll be performing live at one of London's historic music venues to help celebrate 50 years of her label, Island Records. She will use this opportunity to showcase new material. The Shepherds Bush Empire show culminates a week long string of gigs from Island artists past and present and following the announcement of Amy's gig, demand is at fever pitch. 

Amy will be joined onstage by Grammy winning artists 'Toots And The Maytals' and rising star 'I Blame Coco'. Island Records was founded by Chris Blackwell in Kingston, Jamaica in 1959 and marks its 50th anniversary with a series of events celebrating it's colourful 50 year history.

29 May – Paul Weller, Ernest Ranglin, Spooky Tooth
28 May – Cat Stevens (now Yusuf Islam) and Friends, Baaba Maal
27 May – The Fratellis, Bombay Bicycle Club and Special Guest
26 May – Sly & Robbie And The Compass Point All Stars featuring special guests.
