Biffy Clyro praise Arctic Monkeys: 'We wish all British bands were like them'

'Mountains' hitmakers Biffy Clyro have praised rockers Arctic Monkeys as a fantastic example of a successful of a great British band because they're incredibly driven and enjoy continued success.

Speaking to BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe earlier this week, the band explained that it's inspiring to see a young band enjoying such longevity while always evolving:

"People can forget how productive they’ve been. Really, they haven’t stopped at all. To still have that evolution in this record, to really take a huge step sideways and forward, it’s opened up the possibilities for the next 10 years for them as well. I wish all British bands were like this."

'Pompeii' stars Bastille offered similar praise about the Arctic Monkeys earlier this summer, with the group's Dan Smith telling MTV they're going from strength to strength: “It’s amazing to see with the Arctic Monkeys, a band on their fifth album still being as big if not bigger than they were. That’s how it should be."
