Despite being No.1 in the country, rapper Example was refused a prime parking place at Glastonbury festival because Arctic Monkeys arrived there first.

The star, who has become notorious for vitriolic rants against other artists such as Cher Lloyd and Nicki Minaj, was not impressed, as the Sheffield band were not even playing.

 “We arrived on time, we were promised a parking space behind the John Peel Stage, which I’m playing on,” he said to the Daily Star. “But when I got here Glastonbury staff told me I couldn’t park there because Arctic Monkeys had arrived.

“I wouldn’t mind but they aren’t even playing.”

He added: “If I want to change my pants I’ve got to make a phone call, get a Land Rover and drive for ages. It’s a ­nightmare.

“Luckily I’m a massive fan of Arctic Monkeys, so that’s reduced my anger a little.”

The ‘Changed the Way You Kissed Me’ star, who covered the Monkeys recently, was less easy on fellow rappers Pitbull and Flo Rida: “I hate Pitbull and Flo Rida and think they’re shit.

“I’m happy to say that even if they could beat me up.”
