'Glee' star Mark Salling on missing Cory Monteith: 'He left a big, obvious hole'

Actor Mark Salling, who plays Noah 'Puck' Puckerman on the hit U.S. series 'Glee', has revealed that the late Cory Monteith is sorely missed following his untimely death in the summer of 2013.

During an interview with People magazine, Salling confessed that he and the rest of the cast really miss Monteith and described his absence as being like a 'big, obvious hole':

"Cory Monteith was a great leader as a character and person in real life. It's a big, obvious hole. I still think about him all the time. He was kind of like the quarterback of the show, which sounds clichéd because the [tribute] episode was called that, but he was kind of like that in real life."

The co-creators of 'Glee', meanwhile, recently spoke out about the show's end and admitted that they're taking fans' wishes into consideration where the storyline is concerned:

"You have to have obstacles to have a happy ending. I've spent a year learning what they want. We have a list in the writers' room that says, ‘What do the fans want to end that show?' And our endings are all very uplifting, and I think by the end of it, people will be ecstatic and really thrilled by how things turn out. I am."
