Jessie J: 'I got to a point where music wasn't making me happy any more'

Jessie J has admitted that she recently came close to stepping out of the limelight because she simply "wasn't happy" with her career as a singer-songwriter.

The 'Nobody's Perfect' vocal powerhouse explained to The Sun newspaper that after a tough few months she began wondering why she was still in the music industry because it had stopped making her happy:

"I got to a point where I questioned why I was in the music industry. I wasn't happy. I got to a point where I couldn't do it any more and had to have a break."

Her track 'Who You Are' almost faced the cut too, but she decided to keep it in her repertoire as she explained that other people can find inspiration from others' pain:

"I am so glad I kept at it as the story behind it is helping and inspiring a lot of people."
