Jessie J's charity headshave was the most tweeted about television moment of 2013 in the UK.

Freeview have revealed that over 1.5 million tweets were sent on social networking website Twitter when the singer had her locks shaved off for Comic Relief in March.

The quick cut raised a massive £500,000 for charity and the singer has kept her hair short since the event.

The second most tweeted about TV moment meanwhile was Harry Styles' reaction to Taylor Swift at the BRIT Awards, which generated about 1.48 million tweets.

In third place is Simon Cowell being egged live on Britain's Got Talent, which saw 820,000 tweets made about the subject.

Guy North of Freeview commented: "Last year, the Olympics dominated social conversation about TV, so we wanted to find out which moments really brought the nation together this year. All of the programmes in the top 10 were available subscription-free and could be enjoyed by everyone. TV unites people, it always has done, so it's great to see this passion transcend into online conversation."
