A number of big names including Katy Perry have been added to this year's Grammys line-up.

The massive awards ceremony is taking place on January 26 in Los Angeles as the world celebrates the cream of music.

Perry, Lorde, Metallica and Robin Thicke have all been added to the bill today (January 7).

Metallica will perform alongside acclaimed concert pianist Lang Lang.

The latest additions follow news that Daft Punk will be playing the event with Stevie Wonder, Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers.

Other previously announced names include P!nk and Nate Ruess, Kendrick Lamar and Kris Kristofferson.

Most of the freshly confirmed performers are nominated for Grammy Awards, with Pharrell up for seven and Lorde vying for four gongs.
