Katie Price on why her marriage to Peter Andre didn't last: 'The venue was unlucky'

Glamour model Katie Price, also known to the masses as Jordan, has revealed that getting married at Highclere Castle may have been a bad decision because it's said to be unlucky.

She explained that she recently heard George Clooney's fiancée say she would never tie the knot there because it's a bad omen and believes her marriage to singer Peter Andre may have failed because that's the venue they chose:

'I read that George's fiancée Amal Alamuddin has decided against getting married at Downton Abbey - AKA the stunning Highclere Castle in Berkshire - because I had my wedding with Pete there in 2005."

"It's a lovely venue, but Amal could be right to avoid it. After all, it's owned by the Earl and Countess of Carnarvon and we all know how unlucky their ancestors have been since those trips to Egypt (in 1922, George Herbert, the 5th Earl of Carnarvon, opened the tomb of Tutankhamun and died just months later, leading to talk of a "mummy's curse"). Perhaps the unlucky element rubbed off on my marriage!"
