Robert Plant set to bag UK No.1 album

Robert Plant is No.1 on the midweek UK albums chart.

The Led Zeppelin singer unleashed his tenth solo effort 'Lullaby And The Ceaseless Roar' on Monday (September 8) and the Official Charts Company confimed today (September 10) that it is No.1.

At No.2 on the midweek update meanwhile is Sam Smith's 'In The Lonely Hour', which has dropped from No.1.

Taking the bronze medal on the update is Ed Sheeran's monolithic 'X', whilst Royal Blood's previous self-titled chart-topper is No.4.

Completing the top five this week is Ryan Adams' new self-titled effort.

The Kooks meanwhile are No.10 with their new album 'Listen' whilst Deacon Blue are No.12 with 'A New House'.

Veteran Irish punks Stiff Little Fingers are No.15 with 'No Going Back'.
