Mel B has admitted that she tries not to make her X Factor colleague Simon Cowell angry.

The singer is currently starring as a judge on the UK TV talent show in what is her first series.

The show's supremo Cowell has also taken a seat on the panel and the former Spice Girl admitted that she doesn't want to annoy her employer.

Mel B told the Mirror: "This is Simon's show, he created it. You don't want to p*ss your boss off."

The singer meanwhile added that she has no plans to take advantage of the show's large audience and perform live during an episode.

The Brit said: "Ooh, I don't know about that. It's about the ­contestants - it's not about me."
