Bette Midler slams Ariana Grande: 'She has a silly high voice and is always writhing around'

Iconic singer and actress Bette Midler has slammed Ariana Grande for having a 'silly high voice' and 'selling sex'

The star told the Daily Telegraph that she feels embarrassed for the young 'Love Me Harder' hitmaker when she sees her gyrating on the television and also criticised her unique vocal style:

"It's terrible! It's always surprising to see someone like Ariana Grande with that silly high voice, slithering around on a couch, looking so ridiculous. I mean, it's silly beyond belief and I don't know who's telling her to do it. I wish they'd stop. But it's not my business, I'm not her mother. Or her manager."

Midler went onto add that perhaps Grande is told how to behave by her management team: "Maybe they tell them that's what you've got to do. Sex sells. Sex has always sold."

The 'Problem' beauty, meanwhile, recently gave her fans some great advice and told them to be kind to themselves: "You really have to be nice to yourself. People aren’t nice to themselves anymore. I feel like you have to be so extra nice to your heart and your mind these days. There are so many people telling you that you’re not good enough, but you are good enough. You’re more than good enough.”
