GRAMMY-award winning producer Malay, who has worked with the likes of R&B star Frank Ocean, John Legend and Alicia Keys, has confirmed that he has been spending time in the studio with singer Zayn Malik. 

Malik left boyband One Direction back in March and has since been signed to RCA, and it has now been revealed that he is working with the producer.

Malay took to his official Twitter page to praise the young superstar, describing him as incredibly talented: "Cat's out the bag, it's no secret we've been working. @zaynmalik is pure genius. An artists' artist. A shining star with a genuine heart."

'Yonkers' star Tyler, The Creator has also recently expressed an interest in working with Malik and songstress Selena Gomez told a UK radio station that he could reach out to her if he wanted to: "I know Zayn so it's almost like if he would ever want to reach out, he knows that he could. So I don't know what he's doing creatively. I think that's so exciting for him to, like, go and figure out what he wants to do but I don't know what that is."
