Hitmakers Joel and Benji Madden, who wrote 5SOS's 'Amnesia', have revealed that the Aussie pop-punk quartet inspired them to fall back in love with their own band, Good Charlotte. 

During a new interview with the Rolling Stone, Joel and Benji explained that they have a lot of admiration for 5SOS because they're doing very well and are also fantastic people, which is a rare combination in the industry:

"People have a hard time believing a group like 5 Seconds of Summer. They're all so damn personable and they're cute and they're good at music. We had the same thing. People thought Good Charlotte was manufactured. We met in high school!"

Joel Madden went onto credit the 5SOS lads with getting them back into the Good Charlotte mindset, adding: "They got us in love with it again."
