Paije Richardson has become the latest contestant to be booted from ‘The X Factor’.

Richardson was voted out by the judges after the 20-year-old ended up in the bottom two with Cher Lloyd while favourites to be ousted, Katie Waissel and Wagner, sailed through.

In a bid for survival, Paije performed Sam Brown hit ‘Stop’ while Cher did a repeat success with her judge-loved rendition of ‘Stay’ by Shakespear’s Sister.

The judges were shocked that either act were in the bottom two, but three of the four judges opted to keep 17-year-old Lloyd. With Cheryl Cole saying: “This is absolutely the worst part. I absolutely hate this part. But I'm going to send home Paije.”

Dannii Minogue, visibly upset with the results said: “This is just outrageous that either of you are there.

“I will always support my own act and Paije you did the most unbelievable performance this week and you deserve this.”
