Michael Jackson's daughter has opened up in a rare interview about the face masks he made his children wear in public.

Paris was often seen with her father out in the public wearing a mask over her face, concealing her full identity.

Speaking to Oprah Winfrey, Paris gave a rare interview and touched on the subject, revealing a sense of gratitude that Jackson kept her out of the limelight. Speaking about wearing masks, Paris said:

"I was really confused, I didn't get why I was wearing a mask. But I understand it now...why my dad would want our faces to be covered."

She continued: "When we went out without him, we wouldn't be recognised, we would have a normal childhood."
