ABBA to be honoured in their native Sweden

Swedish pop icons ABBA will be honoured in their home country next year in the spring with a special museum exhibition.

The exhibition will be launched in Stockholm at the Swedish Music Hall of Fame on the island of Djurgarden, although it's been confirmed that fans shouldn't expect a reunion, and it will include the quartet's glitzy stage costumes, instruments, and other personal mementos.

Speaking about the honour, Bjoern Ulvaeus tells the Associated Press: "We are the only group of that status that has never been reunited. I think that is cool."

"It is a strength for Abba that you remember those young, ambitious, energetic people during the '70s rather than some feeble old folks who feel compelled to get up and play all the time."

"We quit at the absolute top. And when we stopped it was to take a break and do some other things and then get back together again. But it never turned out that way."
