Rapper Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose have announced the birth of their first child together.

They welcomed the baby boy into the world on Thursday, February 21 and revealed that he has a rather unusual name.

The 'Roll Up' hitmaker confirmed his new born son's name by posting on social networking site Twitter and he wrote:

"Happy Birthday Sebastian "The Bash" Taylor Thomaz!!! Everyone welcome this perfect young man into the world."

Writing on her official Twitter page this afternoon (February 22), Rose thanked her fans for their well wishes: "I wanna thank my Rosebuds & Rosestuds 4 holdin it down during my pregnancy Sebastian has so many bros & sisters in u guys I luv u all -Muva."

She also shared a photograph of Khalifa holding baby Bash (shown below) and he uploaded a picture to his Instagram feed of himself wearing a surgical mask. Rose recently explained that she wanted a home birth and for Khalifa to personally deliver their child:

"I don't want no medication. We take home birthing classes to teach us how to do it, and we're gonna have our midwife, and when the baby's head comes out, he's gonna be Dr. Wiz. He's gonna be the first person to touch the child. No doctors, no gloves."
