Howard Stern defends Kelly Clarkson over Clive Davis memoir claims: 'It's sickening'

Radio host Howard Stern has hit out at music mogul Clive Davis after he slammed singer Kelly Clarkson in his new memoir, 'The Soundtrack of My Life'.

Writing about his relationship with Clarkson in the book, Davis claimed that she burst into "hysterical sobbing" in his office amongst other things and when Clarkson challenged his reports, he told the press that they were all "accurate" anecdotes.

Stern addressed the situation on his SiriusXM radio show and confessed that he finds it "sickening" to think a man with such power feels the need to put down someone he worked with like that:

"I always find it sickening when management guys like to set the record straight about how f**king creative and what geniuses they are. And this guy's trying to diminish what she does? Doesn't he have enough in life? Can't he sort of tell his story without f**king degrading her and putting her down?"

"I think she's got an amazing voice and the girl has worked hard to get to where she is. I don't understand Clive Davis's motivation in knocking this chick down," he added.
