Wheatus support Louis Tomlinson in The Wanted Twitter feud

Wheatus have waded into One Direction's latest Twitter feud with The Wanted.

As previously reported, members from the two boybands had another online spat this morning (April 8) as they traded insults on the social networking website.

The Wanted's Tom Parker turned heads when he appeared to suggest that One Direction's Louis Tomlinson was gay, saying: "I'll enjoy the press even more when you come clean #narnia #itgetsbetter."

Wheatus took to their Twitter to respond to the taunt and back Tomlinson, whose band covers their hit 'Teenage Dirtbag' live. They said:

"Homophobia is the ugliest kind of jealousy. #evil. Too many young people are suffering the loneliest sadness & fear. Use of the #itgetsbetter hash tag in a hateful manner is unacceptable."

The group added: "Seriously guys don't accept that kinda talk from ANYONE. You are beautiful & you deserve a fulfilled life JUST AS YOU ARE #itgetsbetter."

Tom Parker meanwhile has since deleted his tweets to Louis Tomlinson.
