Richard and Adam take on The Civil Wars for UK No.1 album

Brothers from Holywell, North Wales, Richard and Adam have managed to hang on to their No.1 position in today's (August 7) albums chart update in the UK although they're facing some tough competition from The Civil Wars.

The duo's debut record, 'The Impossible Dream', remains at the top spot, but the Official Charts Company has confirmed that The Civil Wars (pictured below) are only 4,000 copies behind at No.2 with their new self-titled album.

'Night Vision' by Imagine Dragons has climbed 6 places to No.4, Swim Deep's 'Where The Heaven Are We' has debuted at 6, and Example's '#hits' has made a respectable appearance at No.16. Asking Alexandria's 'From Death To Destiny' has entered the UK albums chart this afternoon at 15.

Robin Thicke's 'Blurred Lines' has dipped to 21, One Direction's 'Take Me Home' has climbed 3 to sit at No.31, and 'In A World Like This' by the Backstreet Boys has fallen a rather hefty 19 positions to No.35.
