Carly Rae Jepsen set for televised anti-bullying concert in October

'Call Me Maybe' beauty Carly Rae Jepsen has been confirmed to perform at the #UniteLIVE: The Concert to Rock Out Bullying for the USA Network this fall.

The concert is set to take place at a surprise location on October 3 and it will also be televised in order to kick off National Bullying Prevention Month.

Jepsen teamed up with Characters Unite to help fight bullying and in addition to playing live at the gig, she will feature in an anti-bullying public service announcement that will air on both USA Network and CharactersUnite.com.

She explained in a statement that she is "looking forward" to helping raise awareness for such a worthwhile cause by performing at the event and added that "change doesn't happen overnight, but with programmes like this, we can spark a dialogue that will make a real difference in putting a stop to bullying."

Meanwhile, she recently confessed to Billboard.com that she has installed a "little recording studio" on her tour bus so she can work on her new album: "I have a little recording studio in the back of my tour bus where I'm making demos, so when I do hit the studio I've got a bunch of ideas up my sleeve. Writing a record is probably my most favorite part of any of it. I love getting into the groove of that. I'm looking forward to the next couple of months."
