Pop superstar Miley Cyrus performed at the 2013 MTV VMAs over the weekend and her controversial set has since made headlines.

The beauty took the stage in a very revealing outfit and proceeded to grind, twerk and gyrate to her hit single 'We Can't Stop'. She then collaborated with 'Blurred Lines' singer Robin Thicke and shocked the crowd, including Thicke's own mother, with her provocative moves.

Songstress Kelly Clarkson took to her Twitter page shortly after the ceremony aired and slammed the performance, writing: "Just saw a couple performances from the VMA's last night. 2 words....#pitchystrippers."

Someone then tweeted "Kelly Clarkson called Miley a pitchy stripper. Do you think she's mad because her past few singles flopped and wasn't asked to perform?", and Cyrus's friend, Cheyne Thomas, responded by writing: "she's fat and 30... the reasons Kelly Clarkson is bitter could really go on for day..."
