It seems physical impairment is no barrier to Madonna's workout regime after the singer uploaded a photo of herself exercising whilst on crutches.

The US star's rep confirmed this week that the Queen of Pop has been relegated to crutches after bruising a foot whilst dancing in high heels.

Any notions that Madonna might put her feet up and get some rest have been dismissed, however, after she uploaded a photo on Instagram of herself exercising with crutches on.

She said: "Inventing a new workout on crutches! Waking up new Neuro transmitters is always fun! #nothingcanstopme."

It is expected that Madonna will be out of the crutches soon.

The singer meanwhile recently revealed her 2014 New Year's resolution. It read:

"Darling just f**king own it."
