Mark Ronson's 'Uptown Funk' achieves ninth week at No.1 in US

Mark Ronson's hit track 'Uptown Funk' has spent its ninth week at No.1 in the US.

Billboard have confirmed that the tune, which features Bruno Mars, sold 240,000 downloads in the last week to top the Hot 100.

The 2014 song enjoyed 18.8 million streams in the US in the same time period.

'Uptown Funk' is one of just four songs in history to top the US and UK singles charts for at least seven weeks each.

At No.2 on the US chart meanwhile is Ed Sheeran's 'Thinking Out Loud', whilst Maroon 5's 'Sugar' rises two places to rest at No.3.

Ellie Goulding's 'Love Me Like You Do' drops one place to No.4 and Rihanna is No.5 with 'FourFiveSeconds'.
