Nicole Scherzinger: "I don't get UK lingo"

American songstress Nicole Scherzinger still struggles with British jargon at times, and always wonders who "Mick" is when the saying "Are you taking the Mick?" is used.

The former Pussycat Dolls beauty is currently in the UK filming for The X Factor alongside Gary Barlow, Tulisa and Louis Walsh.

Despite moving over to the UK to fulfil her X Factor duties, Scherzinger - who is in a relationship with British F1 driver Lewis Hamilton - still struggles with some British lingo.

She laughed to Closer magazine:  "Lewis will say: 'Are you taking the Mick?' And I'm like: 'Who is Mick?!'"

She added about her move to the UK: "I was panicking about coming here. Leaving my family, my house, my friends, my everything. I don't have a car - but thank God, as I wouldn't know how to drive it here! I was scared, but I was like, 'I'm just going to put my heart into the show and the contestants - and they've been keeping me busy."

Scherzinger currently has all three of her acts left in the competition - Jahmene Douglas, James Arthur and Rylan Clark.
